Project Archaeologist, Archival Researcher


Clinton McKenzie is a project archaeologist and archival research specialist. He has 45  years of experience in the prehistoric and historic archaeology of San Antonio and South Texas with an emphasis on historic materials, in particular Spanish Colonial. His work experience includes six years in the City of San Antonio Historic Preservation Office facilitating municipal and City Code required archaeological investigations. He has also operated as a private consultant for over twenty years providing field, archival and technical writing support for archeological investigations across Texas. Mr. McKenzie also specializes in historical and archival research and has contributed to numerous CAR reports and publications.  His interests include historic demographics, historic and archival studies, Spanish Colonial material culture, and indigenous responses and adaptations to the imposition of colonialism.
