CAR became a State certified curation facility in July, 2006. CAR has over 2,500 accessioned projects from both public and private sources from 193 Texas counties, including the Bureau of Reclamation, Joint Base San Antonio, and the National Park Service. About half of these accessions contain artifacts and records, and the others only records.
