
The UTSA School of Music is home to more than 20 outstanding instrumental and choral ensembles. These ensembles perform over 100 concerts and events hosted annually in the UTSA Recital Hall and across the wider community.

Roots and Resonances : A Traveler's Suite*Roots and Resonances* is a sonic journey that explores Costa Rican identity through works by Edín Solís, Elvis Porras, and Guido Sanchez; the heritage of the Spanish guitar, featuring Federico Moreno Torroba and Joaquín Rodrigo; European modernism, represented by Frank Martin; and the tango of Máximo Diego Pujol—elements that together create a striking contrast.
