Welcome to the 2026 SEAMUS National Conference at UT San Antonio. This year’s theme, Music Collisions, celebrates hybrid and boundary-crossing practices—where music intersects with art, dance, literature, science, and more. From May 20–23, we look forward to experiencing a wide range of electroacoustic compositions, sound installations, multimedia performances, and research presentations. We are delighted to welcome our featured ensemble, the Amorsima Trio, as well as featured performers Rami El-Farrah, Linda Jenkins, Paul Millette, Jordan Walsh, and Rachel Woolf. All conference-related activities will take place in the UTSA Main Campus ARTS Building.

Accommodations & Transportation
The easiest way to reach San Antonio is to fly into San Antonio International Airport. Alternatively, flights are available to Austin–Bergstrom International Airport, which is approximately a 90-minute drive from the UTSA Main Campus.
We are pleased to offer special conference rates for our attendees at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Antonio Northwest. The hotel is conveniently located at 6809 N Loop 1604 W, San Antonio, TX 78249. right across the 1604 highway from the UTSA campus.

The hotel’s location provides easy access to the UTSA Main Campus. On foot, pedestrians can reach the Main Campus in approximately ten minutes and the UTSA ARTS Building in about twenty minutes. Please exercise particular caution when crossing beneath Highway 1604. By car, the Main Campus is approximately two minutes away, and the UTSA ARTS Building can be reached in about five minutes.
Parking in UTSA Main Campus commuter spaces is free during the conference dates. The parking lots closest to the UTSA ARTS Building are the Bauerle Rd Lot 1, Ximenes Avenue Lot, and the East Campus Lot. Each of these lots contain free commuter parking spaces. Participants can also also park by the hour in the Bauerle Garage and the Ximenes Ave Garage.
Please note that San Antonio offers limited public transportation and, as a result, the use of a rental car, Uber/Lyft, or other carpooling options may be necessary.
