Center for Archaeological Research
The Center for Archaeological Research maintains a staff of project archaeologists, laboratory and curation specialists, a GIS technician, and a draftsman who work on Cultural Resource Management and archaeological research in South Texas and other regions.
The UTSA Mexico Center is an umbrella organization that connects existing Mexico-related expertise at UTSA through cross-disciplinary collaboration on research projects and activities.
UTSA’s Institute of Texan Cultures fulfills its mandate as the state’s center for multicultural education by investigating the ethnic and cultural history of Texas and presenting the resulting information in museum exhibits, outreach programs, and a library focusing on ethnic and cultural history.
Workshop on Society, Culture, and Environment
The Workshop on Society, Culture, and Environment is a forum of UTSA’s Department of Anthropology that allows faculty, students, and visiting scholars to present research on environment-related issues and to receive critical feedback on their work.
Certification of Professional Development in Geographical Information Science
Affiliated with UTSA’s programs in Environmental Science, Geology, and Multidisciplinary Sciences, the Certificate of Geographic Information Science (GIS) is a 15-hour program that aims to create competent users of GIS and related tools of the Global Positioning System and Remote Sensing technology.
Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Administration and Leadership
The Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Administration and Leadership is a 15-semester-credit-hour program offered by UTSA’s Department of Public Administration established to provide students who are currently managing or working in the nonprofit sector, or who seek careers in the nonprofit sector, with essential management skills and a foundation in the theory and values fortifying the nonprofit sector.
University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio
The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio trains more than 2,700 students a year in an environment that involves more than 100 affiliated hospitals, clinics and health care facilities in South Texas.
Southwest National Primate Research Center
As a branch of the Texas Biomedical Research Institute, the Southwest National Primate Research Center is dedicated to improving the health of our global community through innovative biomedical research with nonhuman primates.
