Biography
My name is Arlae Gamez-Luna. I’m majoring in Political Science with a double minor in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management. In 2013, I moved to San Antonio to achieve higher education, I’m originally from Querétaro, Mexico. My research interest is on immigrant Latin groups, especially young refugees and women. My current research compares the effects of Texas’ public discourse on Latin immigrant women during an election cycle vs. a non-election cycle.
