Bio

Anna Stypko is a filmmaker, artist, and educator working in narrative and documentary film. As a writer-director and cinematographer her films have screened at festivals worldwide, including Sundance, SXSW, Edinburgh, and BFI Flare, among others. She holds a BFA in Painting from the Tyler School of Art and Architecture in Philadelphia and an MFA in Writing and Directing from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in New York. She has also worked extensively in commercial, branded, and short-form media, bringing industry-scale production experience into her teaching. She is currently developing a project set in Mexico City, where she spends most summers.
