SculptureGiovanna Giusto’s Bottega di Scultura opened on the Via Valerio in 2016 as a working and training area in which students and art lovers can create and study sculpture and drawing.

Giovanna Giusto was born and raised on Lake Como. After graduating from the Liceo Artistico in Lecco in 2002 she moved to Urbino to continue her studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti. She fell in love with Urbino and decided to remain after graduation. During this time she participated in a course in Scalpellini in Sant’Ippolito where she worked with large stone.

Giovanna Giusta has participated in various national exhibitions and competitions. She collaborates with professional sculptors and potters in the area on major projects including the World Sand Sculpture Championship.

The human body has a strong presence in Giovanna’s work, not to achieve hyperrealism but as a means to focus on themes related to the nature of man. She prefers to create her subjects in modeling clay, a soft and malleable material that lends itself well to the study of the work. Her clay models are transformed into ceramic sculptures or become models for working with stone.

Giovanna shares her experience with all those who wish to approach the art world, and in particular the figurative arts. She is sensitive to the character of the individual student and works with them to enhance their own creative ideas and a passion for the arts.
