Congratulations to Dr. Omar Valerio-Jimenez for the publication of his book, Remembering Conquest: Mexican Americans, Memory, and Citizenship, by the University of North Carolina Press. The book "addresses the politics of memory by exploring how succeeding generations reinforced or modified earlier memories of conquest according to their contemporary social and political contexts." Dr. Omar Valerio-Jimenez was also featured on the New Books Network podcast in Latino Studies and the Realms of Memory podcast in an interview about his book.
