Biography

My name is Laura Raquel Aubry and I am a junior at UTSA majoring in Mexican-American Studies and History.  I transferred from San Antonio College where I received an Associate of Arts Degree and was the Distinguished History Graduate. I was born in Comerio, Puerto Rico, and grew up in Lowell, Massachusetts, but have lived all over the United States. My passion is the stories that have been untold in our history books. Those stories of people that have been colonized and are screaming for their stories to be acknowledged and their descendants to know their truth. I hope to enter a Ph.D. program where I can blend my interest in ethnic studies and history to research the stories of the people of Latin America.
