Currently pursuing a B.A. in Biology with a minor in Anthropology at UTSA.
Biography
My name is Enrique Iglesias, and I’m a Biology major with a minor in Anthropology. I was born in San Antonio and grew up in Converse, TX, right outside San Antonio. I’m interested in pursuing an MD/Ph.D. in medical anthropology. My current research critically examines US medical curricula and culture; contributes to decolonial and feminist medical pedagogy. My other research interests include how im/migration, carcerality, neocolonialism, and heteronormativity impact health and bodies. In my free time, I love to read, dance, play the drums, and watch basketball, soccer, and football.
