Bio

Spring 2024 Office Hours: Mondays from 1:30PM-3:30PM & Wednesdays from 10:30AM-12:00PM.

Liz Reichman grew up in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She left home to attend college but returned for law school and her first post law school job, clerking for a federal appellate judge. Reichman ventured out again to work at a large Chicago law firm. Reichman left the law to raise her two children. She thought it would be a short break, but she never went back, instead working and volunteering outside her profession in a variety of areas. The jobs that provided the most useful skills? Marathon coaching and preschool teaching. After her children left home, Reichman returned to school to study what she should have studied in the first place: history. She obtained her master's degree in history from UTSA in 2023. In addition to lecturing at UTSA, Reichman serves on the board of the Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio and is active in Holocaust education.
