The program includes the energetic Symphonic Dance No. 1 by Carol Brittin Chambers, the rhythmic vitality of Unidad de Ritmo by Michele Fernandez, the evocative storytelling of Peace Dancer by Jodie Blackshaw, and the stunning Orion: Double Concerto for Oboe and Bassoon by Jenni Brandon. We close with Julie Giroux’s breathtaking Blue Marble: Symphony for Wind Ensemble, a work that reminds us of the beauty and fragility of our world with a thrilling surround sound and full screen video presentation.
