Description
Elisa Nivon presents her final Graduate Recital, where Baroque and contemporary music merge in mystical resonance.
Featuring works by Heinrich Biber, Caroline Shaw, Morten Lauridsen, and Kenji Bunch, the program echoes purifying frequencies through Baroque tuning and scordatura (non-traditional tuning). With a richly colored instrumental palette interwoven with poetic vocal textures, the recital explores music’s healing power and expressive depth.
Performed in collaboration with professional musicians and colleagues, the program features a diverse ensemble including harpsichord, piano, strings, guitar, soprano voice, choir, percussion, and synthesizer.
Wonderful collaborators:
Dr. Ara Koh (harpsichord/piano)
Andrew Small (violin)
Marisa Bushman (viola)
Ignacio Gallego (cello)
Diego Chavarría (guitar)
Taylor Malcolm (soprano)
Pablo Ventura (piano)
Antonio Zubillaga and choirs
