2023 Summer study abroad program in Japan (Kyoto/Osaka)

Pell Grant recipients can apply for a Gilman Study Abroad Scholarship. Application deadline is Oct. 6, 2022 and it will reopen again in March 2023. Contact Dr. Drew Chapman at drew.chapman2@utsa.edu for more info and the application process. Other scholarships may be available depending on applicants' qualifications.

UTSA 2020 Honors College Summer Study Abroad in Tyoko & Kyoto

Open to Non-Honors Students!

Approximate Dates: May 14, 2020 - May 20, 2020

Program Costs: $4,980

  • Airfare (San Antonio-Japan roundtrip)
  • In-country transportation
  • Group activities
  • Two meals per day
  • Housing

Cost does NOT include:

  • UTSA tuition (3 credit hours)
  • UTSA Office of International Program Fee ($225)
  • Int'l Travel Insurance ($40)
  • Passport/Visa Application Fee
  • Third Meal of the Day

Experience Japanese culture and food, tea frm experimental learning, shrines, temples, and festivals!

Understand Japanese history, society, politics, religion, philosphy, business, and educational system!

 


Previous Trip

Fourteen UTSA students participated in the Japan Study Tour in May 2013, which was sponsored by a generous grant from the Japan Foundation.  The students spent 10 days in Japan where they were immersed in the langauge and culture.
