Dr. Jasperson has been an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Texas at San Antonio since 1999. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in Political Science for her dissertation on the effect of campaign communication on public opinion during the 1996 U.S. Senate race in Minnesota. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Wellesley College in Massachusetts where she received her B.A. in Political Science and Art History, magna cum laude. She is also a graduate of the Summer Institute in Political Psychology, the ICPSR summer program in research methods at the University of Michigan, and the Campaign Management Institute at American University.
