JOIN US!

Travel to southern Mexico to see first-hand how U.S. policies and corporate
practices affect food security and migration in communities there.

Meet with activists, small farmers, indigenous groups, and others struggling
for justice and food security. Stay in the home of a Oaxacan family.

Learn how these communities and their daily lives are impacted by NAFTA and
migration. Learn about resistance strategies and alternatives that people
are creating for more viable, healthy lives, and a more just future. Hear
first-hand accounts of the recent popular uprising, and the reasons behind
the struggle.

Take action! We provide action tools and informational materials to help you
bring these experiences back to your own community, and advocate for change!

Oaxaca is a state in southern Mexico with one of the largest indigenous
populations in the country. Its immense cultural and geographic diversity
are contrasted with deepening poverty and the ever-increasing migration of
Oaxacans to the US. It is also home to vibrant small farmers' and indigenous
peoples' movements. Learn about the complexities of this state and the
movements being formed to make a better world possible!
