The Philosophy program offers a wide range of courses including, among others, metaphysics & epistemology, ethics, logic, continental philosophy, Asian philosophy and applied ethics.
In addition, a rotating schedule of other upper-division courses including Studies in Individual Philosophers, Issues and Movements in Contemporary Philosophy, and likewise, as well as inter-disciplinary courses in such topics as feminist philosophy and writers, will further broaden and enrich students' philosophical horizon.
The Classics program offers courses exploring a wide range of topics in Greek and Roman literature, culture, art, archaeology, classical mythology and ancient history, as well as introductory to advanced Latin and Greek.
In addition, a rotating schedule of upper-division courses allows students to delve further into topics as diverse as ancient science and technology, epic poetry, urbanism and the archaeology of Pompeii, gender and sexuality and ritual human sacrifice.
