UTSA Students Win in Nengajo Contest

Marissa Arellano and Julian Rui Mateo, both students of Japanese at UTSA, won first place honors in the 2014 Nengajo Contest for their New Year's card drawings.  Arellano took first place in the humorous category and Rui Mateo won the creative category.

The theme for 2014 was year of the horse.  Arellano and Rui Mateo's drawings were chosen from over 100 entries.

The contest was sponsored by the Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth.
