German Senior Lecturer Position Available

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at The University of Texas at San Antonio invites applications for a non-tenure-track Lecturer position in German starting Fall 2018. This is a full-time position with a three-year renewable contract.

Responsibilities:  Teaching undergraduate courses in the B.A. program in Modern Language Studies.  Application of the latest methods and technologies to language teaching, and teaching German literature, film, culture, and German Studies.

Required qualifications – University or college teaching experience, fluency in German (with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in German coursework).  Ph.D. in relevant areas, such as German language, literature, culture, etc. in hand by August 31, 2018.

Preferred qualifications – Experience with technology-enhanced teaching, and organizing Study Abroad programs.  Other fields of expertise related to German Studies are a plus.
