The Sigmatic Aorist in Indo-European: Evidence for the Space-Time Hypothesis

The Sigmatic Aorist In Indo-European: Evidence for the Space-Time Hypothesis, Dr. Bridget Drinka's doctoral thesis at the University of Texas, is an examination of four branches of Indo-European to show that the sigmatic aorist with lengthened grade normally reconstructed for the proto-language is actually an innovation that slowly spread from one daughter language to another. This is the "space-time hypothesis" of the subtitle.

The branches Drinka is mainly concerned with are Indo-Iranian, Greek, Slavonic, and Latin.
