Mark Bayer, Ph.D.
Early modern literature, especially drama; Shakespeare, including the long-term cultural authority of Shakespeare's plays.
After earning his PhD (Ohio State 2002), Dr. Bayer taught for six years at the American University of Beirut. He has written on Renaissance literature and culture, and on the reception of Shakespeare's plays, especially in the Arab world.
