Deadline extended for new Stumberg Summer Research Award program applications

DEADLINE EXTENSION: The deadline for grant applications has been extended until March 16, 2020. 

Interim Dean Dr. Rhonda M. Gonzales is pleased to announce the launch of the Stumberg Summer Research Award (SSRA) program for tenure-track and tenured faculty in the College of Liberal and Fine Arts. Funded by the Stumberg Endowed Distinguished University Chair for the Dean of Liberal and Fine Arts, the program will provide essential support to strengthen and advance research across all nine departments in COLFA. This year, solicitations are requested from faculty who are at critical career junctures. Priority will be given to: 

  • Assistant professors who have had a successful third-year review and will apply for promotion to associate professor with tenure in fall of 2020 or 2021.
  • Associate professors who will apply for promotion to associate with tenure or full professor in fall of 2020 or 2021. 

Stumberg Summer Research Award Application timeline:

February 4, 2020 – Grant Request for Proposals (RFP) announced
March 16, 2020 – Grant applications due in CAYUSE (by 5:00 P.M. CST) 
April 3, 2020 (on or about) – Award recipients notified
