Giving to COLFA

Thank you for considering a gift to the College of Liberal and Fine Arts! Your support is crucial to COLFA's continued success as the fastest growing liberal arts institution in the state of Texas.

Donors like you have a profound impact on students, faculty, and the community at large through scholarships, research funding, faculty support, innovative academic programs, outreach activities, and beyond.

Gifts also make it possible for COLFA to offer outstanding public cultural activities such as the annual Shakespeare Residency, several lecture series, art exhibits, the annual regional history fair for high school students, and the Legacy Program hosted by the Center for Archaeological Research.

How to Give

Gifts can be made via the secure online donation form to the college as a whole, or can be designated as specifically as desired. Popular giving avenues include the Dean's Circle, Friends of Music, and Friends of Shakespeare giving societies.  Please contact the Development Office staff for questions about giving to COLFA.

Faculty/Staff Giving through Payroll Deduction

One of the simplest ways UTSA faculty and staff can make a gift to COLFA - either unrestricted or restricted - is through payroll deduction. Just print a copy of the Faculty/Staff Payroll Deduction Form, specify how you want your gift designated, and return your signed form to the Dean's Office (McKinney Humanities Bldg. 4.01.23).

The Dean’s Circle Giving Club

The Dean’s Circle recognizes the extraordinary generosity of alumni, friends, faculty, and staff who make unrestricted gifts of $1,000 or more to the College. Dean’s Circle members receive invitations to special events including Dean’s receptions and other COLFA events and lectures. In addition, Dean’s Circle members are recognized on the COLFA website. Most importantly, members know their generosity has a direct, positive influence on the phenomenal faculty and students of this great college.

Dean’s Circle members have provided:

  • Scholarships for promising undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Faculty support for pursuing new research interests and other academic endeavors.
  • Student and faculty travel abroad experiences.

To join the Dean's Circle, fill out the secure online donation form and select “Dean’s Circle” under designation or complete this membership form and return it to the following address:

Endowments provide perpetual income for COLFA through investment of principal funds. These gifts may be unrestricted, providing for the greatest needs of the college, or restricted to a particular use. Endowments are established through outright gifts, pledges paid over a period of years, deferred gifts, such as trusts or insurance expectancies, and through estate plans. Following are several types of endowments that can be established by alumni and friends to create support now and into the future. Learn more about endowments on the Giving to UTSA site →
