English English studies offer the opportunity to explore British literature and American literature, as well as studies in professional writing. English coursework emphasizes the close reading and appreciation of literature and development of skills in critical reading, thinking and writing.
Classical Studies The field of classical studies involves knowledge of the
diverse history and culture of the classical world. This knowledge
includes a familiarity with the material remains, intellectual and literary
traditions, religions, social and political issues, as well as the profound
influence of the rich cultures of the Middle East upon Greece and Rome.

with history Humanities The study of Humanities is interdisciplinary

between the traditional humanistic disciplines with their ongoing concern for
questions of human values and contemporary tendencies in the fine arts,
social sciences and physical sciences. Courses are drawn from
humanities, classical studies, philosophy, literature, and art history and
criticism. Philosophy Philosophy emphasizes the ability to analyze and evaluate arguments and use good reasoning. Philosophy studies pervade every facet of our lives, affording students an opportunity to study carefully some of the great texts created by the human mind - texts that can change the way one views the world and acts in it.
