Our main office is in Northern San Antonio, the emerging international cultural center for Central Texas. UTSA is a diverse school located and associated with 4separate campuses (1604, Downtown, University Heights and Institute of Texan Cultures).
The Sociology Department offers a wide variety in faculty experience and areas of emphasis. Some of these areas include: Border Studies, Criminology, Educational Sociology, Gerontology, Medical Sociology, Mexican-American Studies, Religion and Culture, Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis as they apply to Sociology, Social Movements, Social Theory and more. These topics are taught by Professors of varying ethnic and national backgrounds creating a truly diverse offering.
