Welcome to my webpage! I am an assistant professor of history at the University of Texas at San Antonio. My main focus is Latin American history, with a specialty in labor history, rural history and the Mexican Revolution. My current research is on state formation and national identity that I explore through the lens of a coffee-workers' union in Chiapas, Mexico during the Mexican Revolutionary era. I teach the Latin American history courses here--see the courses link for the complete list. I also teach Western Civilization II: The Atlantic World, the Foundations of Liberal Arts core (FLA), and a smattering of other history classes.
