Submission
Guidelines
The Web Literary Journal for UTSA Students is calling for submissions.
Please submit poetry (no more than 5 poems per submission) and
fiction (no more than 5,000 words) in the following format. Please
remember that there is no copyright on the internet, and should
you submit, it will be assumed you understand this. The deadline
for submissions for the next issue will be February 1, 2005.
Format:
Never send us your only copy of your work! All entries must be typewritten
and double spaced. They must include a cover page with your name,
address, email address, phone number and the titles of your poetry
or short stories. Your name should not appear anywhere else on your
manuscript. You should include a self-addressed, stamped envelope
for reply. (Submissions cannot be returned unless you include a
self-addressed, stamped envelope with proper postage, and unfortunately,
we cannot be responsible for lost manuscripts, although we will
treat your work with care.) Please drop off your submissions in
the English Department mailroom on the fourth floor of HSS during
normal business hours. Please give to mailroom staff or put in the
box marked Web Journal.
If your work is chosen for the journal, you will be required to
submit an email attachment file to the journal upon notification.
Guidelines for attachments will be given out at that time.
Below is a copy of the submission form that must accompany any
submissions to the web journal. Simply copy and paste the form onto
your word processing software (Microsoft Word, MS Works, Wordpad,
Notepad, etc.), print the form, completely fill it out, and submit
it to the English Department.
